Los Angeles continues to add to a world-class hotel collection regarded as one of the most dynamic and forward thinking in the country. Pack your bags and get ready to check into one of the exciting new hotels opening in L.A. in 2018.

January 2018: NoMad Hotel

February 2018: Sheraton San Gabriel

Marriott International’s Sheraton brand will add a 288-room property in early 2018. Located in San Gabriel, the property will include a steakhouse and a Chinese restaurant.

Spring 2018: Hotel Figueroa

Downtown L.A.’s landmark Hotel Figueroa is reopening in the spring after the property, which was first built as a women’s hostel in 1926, emerges from a $55-million renovation. The 268-room hotel will feature six bars and restaurants. Book Now →

July 2018: Downtown L.A. Proper

Proper Hotels, the new brand headed by former Viceroy Hotels chief Brad Korzen, is slated to enter Los Angeles in July 2018 with a Downtown L.A. property located at the site of the former Case Hotel. The 13-story property, which was built in 1924, will have 151 rooms as well as a rooftop that includes a restaurant, bar and pool.

October 2018: West Hollywood Edition

The first U.S. West Coast property under Marriott International and Ian Schrager’s Edition lifestyle brand will open on the famed Sunset Strip in West Hollywood in the fall of 2018. Developed by the Witkoff Group and New Valley, the hotel will have 190 rooms and as many as 20 luxury condominiums. The hotel will boast two rooftop pools.

December 2018: The Bricks

The Bricks is a 200-room hotel that will be part of Wyndham Hotels’ recently launched Trademark Collection of independently operated hotels. Located two blocks from STAPLES Center, the property will include 10,000 square feet of meeting space as well as a ground-floor restaurant when it opens in late 2018.


Starwood Capital’s 1 Hotels eco-luxe brand will make its West Coast debut in 2018 as part of the Sunset La Cienega mixed-use project in West Hollywood. The 286-room hotel was previously earmarked to be operated under Denihan Hospitality’s James brand.
