You’re a proud USC alum who can skateboard in business attire, host a killer tailgate game, and hum the fight song any season. For the ideal Trojan alumni weekend, you check into the USC Hotel. Formerly known as the Radisson Hotel Los Angeles Midtown at USC, the 240-room property is owned and operated by the university, and it’s pet-friendly—so you’ve brought your pet bulldog Bucky along for the ride.

You and the pup are feeling fancy so you’ve selected an Executive Level Room complete with top floor views, a sick 60-inch LED TV, plush linens, and a VIP lounge with a sweet breakfast and happy hour. The balcony looks out onto your second home—USC’s sprawling 260-acre cobbled campus with its tall brick buildings, long-necked palm trees, and stretches of park-like grass. It’s no wonder your alma mater is has been featured in films like Entourage, Forrest Gump, Legally Blonde and The Graduate.

Of course, you’re not the only hotshot USC alumnus. George Lucas, Neil Armstrong, John Wayne, Will Ferrell, America Ferrera, and plenty more mega-successful folks are all fellow grads. Speaking of Lucas, you make a note to be in town for the grand opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.

You head down to the hotel's giant aqua-hued pool to work on your tan. Later in the hot tub, you hit it off with a dude in cardinal-and-gold boardshorts who graduated from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. He tells you to check out its awesome Media Center, which has a slick two-story interactive newsroom for the school’s broadcast and news operations. As a media executive, you’re no stranger to video cameras and green screens—and this sounds dope.

You make plans to scope it out together tomorrow, before heading out for a Trojans game at the iconic Los Angeles Coliseum, conveniently located in Exposition Park a three-minute walk from the hotel. But right now, you’re famished and too relaxed to make any major decisions. So, you and your new buddy head to the hotel’s Rosso Oro’s Pizzeria and grab a couple slices and fool around with the shuffleboard.

It’s almost time for the mixer, so you give Bucky some treats and freshen up in the hotel’s roomy shower. Feeling refreshed and fly you strike it to a pretty green area on campus where the center of the action is. Under a big white tent, you find your old college roommate—who is now a freakin’ doctor. (Who knew?) There’s also your old college football buddies—who are also doggie parents, and even that cutie from your Psych 101 class who now owns a multimillion-dollar startup. You throw the USC “Fight On” sign in every other selfie, and order round after round. You miss college life—the youthful energy, and the sense that anything is possible.

It’s not long before you’ve lost count of your cocktails, but no matter - your plush bed is right around the corner at the hotel and you’ve got your Trojan Family by your side.
