Smorgasburg L.A., the weekly food fest at The Row DTLA, is bringing back its Holiday Market beginning the Sunday following Black Friday. Taking place every Sunday from November 25 through December 23, the weekly event will be upping the shopping options in addition to the usual eclectic selection of food and drinks.

The 2nd annual Union Station Holiday Festival rolls into the station’s south patio on Saturday, December 1 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The pop-up artisan marketplace features some of L.A.’s most sought-after artists and artisans, live entertainment, free activities for kids, food trucks and a craft beer garden for holiday shoppers.

The eclectic mix of 30+ vendors includes the Bohemian Kitten vintage mobile boutique; homemade candles and diffusers from RX Candles; creative clocks from Clock in Books; graphic art from Printgonzales; prints and pins from JDN73; modern t-shirts from The Poster List; jewelry from Delicate Raymond and many more.

A Little Elves Workshop, Christmas Wish List station, special performance from The Bob Baker Marionette Theater, and visits from Santa will keep young visitors in the holiday spirit.

NOTE: In the event of rain, the Holiday Festival will be moved indoors to the Historic Ticket Concourse.

Grand Central Market kicks off the holiday season with its 5th Annual Holiday Marketplace, featuring a pop-up village of local artisans and purveyors. From 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. the Market's Hill Street platform will be transformed into a festive emporium for gracious holiday gift shopping. Participants include Bad Pickle Tees, Billy Kheel, Birch & Bone, Brown Bag Books, DTLA Gift Shop, Ink + Smog Editions, Los Angeles County Store, MADE by DWC, M.Greenwood Jams, and YA Living. Market vendors will get into the holiday spirit with seasonal specials such as Tamales from Chiles Secos, Butternut Winter Clam Chowder at Prawn, Raclette at DTLA Cheese, and Reindeer Tracks Sundae at McConnell’s Fine Ice Creams. Birch & Bone’s wreath-making pop-up returns with floral artist Amelia Posada helping shoppers create Instagram-worthy wreaths with succulents, moss, feathers and antlers.

New for 2018, nationally and internationally exhibited artist Billy Kheel makes his GCM debut with a Holiday Marketplace pop-up. Featured on the first season of NBC’s Making It with Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, Kheel uses felt and thread to create soft sculptures, wall hangings, portraits and installations. As a complement to his pop-up, Billy will lead the Draft & Craft workshop on Sunday, December 2 from 6–9 p.m. Tickets to Draft & Craft are on sale at Eventbrite.

Special musical guests include Mexican bolero trio Tres Souls, Afro-Cuban dance music ensemble Sitara Son, Klezmer Juice, jazz vocalist Teira Church, swing band HiFi Honeydrops, and holiday carolers. On both days the Market will host a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus from 1-3 p.m. and ornament making with Little Junebugs from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

HAUSER & WIRTH (DEC. 1-2, 2018)

Located in the DTLA Arts District, the sprawling Hauser & Wirth art gallery celebrates the season with a two-day Holiday Market that showcases L.A.-based makers, nonprofits, artists, and performers. The weekend marketplace will offer handcrafted products and locally-made wares, as well as family workshops led by educators. Enjoy specialty foods and confections by the onsite restaurant, Manuela, in addition to a program of spontaneous performances. The Holiday Market is taking place on Saturday and Sunday, December 1-2 from 11am to 6pm. The event is free to attend and open to the public.

In June 2018, four artists came together and opened The Print Shop LA, a printmaking collective and studio on Chung King Court, adjacent to the art galleries on Chung King Road in Chinatown. Their Holiday Art Sale brings together more than 10 vendors offering locally made items like prints and apparel. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on December 1 and includes live music.

Unique L.A. DTLA Holiday Market - California Market Center (Dec. 1-2, 2018)

Fashion-forward Unique L.A. puts the spotlight on up-and-coming indie artists and brands for a weekend at the California Market Center in DTLA. More than 300 vendors are part of the event, ranging from photographers to shoe designers. The two-day event also features a lounge area, arts and crafts activities, gift wrapping and a photo booth. General Admission is $15. Guests can splurge for $35 VIP tickets that include perks like a separate bar and lounge, free wine and a bag valet.

Sunday Morning Hair is a "clean air" salon in El Sereno that emphasizes environmentally friendly practices and cool, '70s-style cuts. They also host occasional pop-ups, including the Holiday Market that was originally scheduled for December 2. New date TBA.

Renegade Craft Fair, the multi-city series of alternative shopping events, returns to Los Angeles State Historic Park on December 8 and 9. The curated event puts the emphasis on local artists and designers who create ethically-made goods. Food, music and interactive activities are also part of the weekend-long event.

Bitchcraft celebrates a decade of witchy art and crafts on Saturday, December 8. If you're looking for unique jewelry, leather goods with a rocker edge or a new tarot deck, the 10th Annual Winter Faire is the place to go. With a tattoo section as part of the event, there's a chance to get a gift for yourself as well. The market goes from noon to 7 p.m. with an after party to follow at Little Cave from 7-10 p.m.

ECHO PARK CRAFT FAIR - Mack Sennett Studios (Dec. 8-9, 2018)

The Echo Park Craft Fair's holiday show goes down on December 8 and 9 at Mack Sennett Studios with a bounty of small businesses setting up shop. Expect to find loads of fashion and beauty items as well as home goods throughout this large event. In addition to a host of food and drink options, The Spare Room (from the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel) will be handling the cocktail bar and online radio favorites Dublab will be bringing in the DJs. Admission is $12 for a one-day pass and $20 for a weekend pass. Tickets for the Friday Night Preview Party are $30.

Located at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, CRAFTED brings together more than 100 artists, crafters and food makers every weekend. On December 8, CRAFTED is hosting their annual Holiday Craft Party from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring a selection of seasonal ornaments on sale for $1-10. Wreath-making workshops and cookie decorating are also part of the program. Admission and parking are free.

Self Help Graphics & Art, the 45-year-old printmaking studio and art gallery in Boyle Heights that helped popularize Dia de Los Muertos in Los Angeles, hosts its annual Holiday Marketplace on Saturday, December 8. In addition to vendors selling a mix of crafts and fine art, items for sale will include serigraphs from the studio's own collection of prints. Plus, there will be printmaking demos on site. The Holiday Marketplace runs from noon to 5 p.m. December 8 is also the last day to see the Dia de los Muertos exhibition, How We Remember and How We Survive.

Silverlake Flea hosts its Annual Holiday Market on December 22. This is the weekly market's final event of 2018 and it will be a big one, with over 80 vendors carrying a variety of vintage and craft items. There will be a gift wrap section at the flea market as well, along with food trucks and sweets. There's no cover and free parking is available at a lot on Golden Gate Avenue.
